On Sunday 29 January 2012 at Tewkesbury Secondary School (Ashchurch Road, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8DF), the BTS will be sharing the venue with Gloucestershire Music and the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association, who will be holding their BLAST OFF event for young brass and percussion players of all standards.
The day will provide opportunities to work alongside visiting professional trombonists, including Bones Apart and Mark Templeton (London Philharmonic Orchestra), as well as the usual range of events to include a massed trombone choir, workshops on orchestral sectional playing and small ensemble coaching, leading to an informal concert in the afternoon.
