Tony Boardman
Tony is a fifteen year old trombonist from South Cheshire, who has been playing since the age of ten.
He began playing in Audley Brass Band and has recently moved to Roberts Bakery Band in Sandbach.
He is taught by Brett Baker. He has played tenor and bass trombone
in the National Children's Brass Band of Great Britain under the baton of Dr. Nicholas Childs. This year he
has been accepted into the National Youth Brass Band on bass trombone.
Tony has broad musical tastes; he plays percussion, a range of guitars and is learning the double bass. In addition to his brass band commitments, Tony plays in various rock bands and in Congleton Youth Orchestra.
As Young Person's Representative for the British Trombone Society, Tony hopes to advise the society as to what it could do to help and support young people who take up the trombone. He would like to encourage other young people to contact him with their ideas on what the society can do for them. He can be contacted by e-mail at .
