The three Trombone Ensembles of the Black Dyke Band are looking forward to a concert that will feature the three ensembles together for the first time in the 10 year history of the groups. At the end of last year the Singapore Low Brass Festival invited the Junior and Youth Trombone ensembles to feature as special guests in the festival as a result the two youth ensembles and the Black Dyke Senior Trombone Quartet will all give a concert on Friday 10th June in aid of raising money for members of the Youth and Junior ensembles to travel to Singapore.

Members of the Youth and Junior Quartets play for the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, the National Children's Brass Band and the Yorkshire Youth Band, being very much involved with local bands that include Wingates and Carlton Main Frickley, as well as music schools including Chethams School of Music.

With an age range of 11-56 the different groups will entertain with pieces from the Beatles to Erik Leidzen. The standard of playing from the young players is staggering so please do not miss a really entertaining programme of works to raise money for the trombone players of the future to take part in a concert that will allow them to experience a trip of a lifetime.

The concert will take place on Friday 10th June Starting at 19:30, Halifax Minster, Church Street, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX1 1QL. Tickets priced at £5.00 available on the door, both BTS members and non members are welcome.
