Peter Bassano, Music Director of the Oxford University Sinfonietta and a member of the John Wallace Brass Quintet, will be running two Brass in Benslow courses in 2012, exploring brass quintets from Arnold to Zappa, as well as repertoire for larger forces.
Thanks to all of you who voted for young star trombonist Rhiannon Symonds, from Yorkley, she has made it through to the final in the Ambition AXA Awards in The Arts category along with film maker Alfie Barker, 15, and violinist Clare Rees-Zimmermann, also 15.
The Academy Symphonic Brass, conducted by Mark David and Bob Hughes, will perform a programme of Scandinavian music in a concert on Friday 2 December
at 7.30pm in the Duke's Hall, Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London, NW1.
