Guildhall go Westside

The fiery Latin American dances at the heart of Bernstein's West Side Story suit brass instruments wonderfully. Eric Crees' well-loved arrangement for large brass ensemble will be performed this Friday in London with the arranger himself directing the Guildhall Brass Ensemble.

The concert pairs the music of this 1957 hit musical with a more traditional setting of the Romeo and Juliet story in Prokofiev's lush romantic score from only twenty years earlier.

Come along this Friday lunchtime for this free concert from the latest crop of Guildhall's finest, depicting cha-cha, mambo, pas de deux and high piccolo trumpet pointe work.
