The Autumn issue of The Trombonist is now out, packed with the latest news, articles and reviews. BTS members will have received their copies this weekend and can read about a range of current topics, including:

* Details of the free BTS CD offer featuring the Denis Wick Trombone Quartet from 1970.
* Profiles and interviews with competition winners Peter Moore, Hari Eustace and Robbie Harvey.
* Tributes paid to Peter Gane and Chris Mowat.
* A celebration of the distinctive approach of Arthur Wilson and in London orchestral life in the 1970s.
* Chris Jeans give the inside story of playing with Black Dyke in the 90's glory days.
* A fascinating article about the religious worship in Moravia with trombones at the centre.
* David Carnac explores the virtues of the London amateur orchestras.
* Birmingham Conservatoire's head of jazz Jeremy Price recommends his most influential CDs and records

Please note that the photograph on p15 is Frank Mathieson, not Ray Premru as stated, who in fact appears on p11. Apologies from the Editor!

The Trombonist is published three times a year. Subscription is included in BTS membership, which costs £22 per year for those in Britain, with substantial reductions for students and under-16s. Full details and the opportunity to sign-up on-line are on the membership page.
