Alessi masterclass in Yeovil

Joseph Alessi, Principal Trombone of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra will give a masterclass in Yeovil on Saturday 15th April. Alessi is in the country to perform the premiere of Bramwell Tovey's Trombone Concerto which he will perform in Yeovil and Weston-Super-Mare during the same weekend. The concert is the culmination of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain's Easter course and features the band conducted by their Tovey in a programme including classic brass band repertoire Journey into Freedom by Eric Ball and Epic Symphony by Percy Fletcher. Joe Alessi masterclass will be held at the Johnson Studio at the Octagon Theatre, Yeovil on Saturday 15th April commencing at 2.30pm exclusively for ex-NYBBGB members and members of the British Trombone Society. The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, conducted by its new Artistic Director, Bramwell Tovey, will be performing a concert at the Octagon Theatre, Yeovil later on the same day at 7.30pm.
