Lions final announced

The final of the Lions competition next month will feature eight young trombonists aged 11 to 23. Taking place at Birmingham Conservatoire, each finalist has been selected by a regional Lions club and will perform Bozza's Ballade and a work chosen from a set repertoire list. The winner will be sponsered to take part in the European final in Finland in September.

The music competition is run by the Lions charity to celebrate and encourage positive spirit of young people, and this year's chosen instrument is the trombone. Spectators at the Birmingham national final are most welcome.
