The first of Band Supplies' hot gigs on 15 June 2013 in the state-of-the-art new venue, Ronnie’s Club, featured in April’s BBW, showcases Roger Webster and the inaugural appearance of the Courtois Trombones comprising:

Mark Templeton

  • Mark Templeton (London Philharmonic Orchestra)
  • Davur Juul Magnussen (Royal Scottish National Orchestra)
  • John Barber (Foden’s Band)
  • Richard Ashmore (The Ulster Orchestra).

The event is supported by Besson and Courtois. Said Dave Beal, Sales Executive of the Band Supplies (Leeds) branch:

It is hoped that this will be the first in a long line of regular concerts showcasing the high calibre of instrumental talent on display on 15 June, which will inspire, enthuse and bring people of all ages together in this fabulous new venue, which also has a bar for socialising.

There will also be a world première of Long Promise Fanfare by Kensington Brass composer in residence Toby Nelms.

For further details, please see the Queen's Theatre website.

Due to illness and other playing engagements, Bones North is short of tenor tromboniists. Any tenor trombone players who would like to go to Brighouse would be made most welcome (and should be able to read bass and tenor clefs).

Bones North is directed by Frank Mathison, the legendary ex-bass trombonis of the London Symphony Orchestra. Please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  if you wish to come along or call 01422 369847.
