Helen Vollam & Elizabeth Burley

Fri, Nov. 11, 2022 1:15pm

Helen Vollam is a trombone legend, acclaimed for her “resonant fluid tone, melodious natural phrasing and unflinching accuracy,” as well as a career that has seen her smash the brass world’s glass ceiling. Today she teams up with pianist Elizabeth Burley for a concert that proves that the trombone really can sing (and swing!) in music that travels from Renaissance Venice to the Caribbean.
