The British Trombone Festival will be taking place 29–30 October 2022.

The weekend will be hosted at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, 200 Jennens Road, Birmingham, B4 7XR.

 

 

 

 

 

 


The festival promises to be a true celebration of our wonderful instrument. Packed full of performances, masterclasses, competitions, massed blows, group warm-ups, trade stands, and more. This is a chance to meet old friends and new, learn from the experts and most importantly . . . play together! 

Confirmed featured artists include: 

Ian Bousfield, Callum Au, Chris Augustine, Emily White, Katy Jones, Chris Thomas, Tony Boorer, Slide Action and The Royal Air Force Trombone Ensemble.

Saturday Night Jazz Club featuring 'Rory Ingham’s Trombone Assembly!' An all ticket event. £10.00 each.

All our competition finals will take place during the weekend. More details to follow. 

We have made sure that something is planned for everyone, of all ages, abilities and styles of playing.

Secret Lessons. If you would like to sign up for a free 20-minute secret lesson, please send an email to: secretary@britishtrombonesociety.org.

Please say on which day you would like the lesson and your preferred instrument — tenor trombone, bass trombone or sackbut (Sackbut lessons are only available on Sunday). Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis to registered Festival participants, so BOOK NOW to avoid disappointment.
