We welcome Adam as a new member of the team, looking after the North West Region.

Born in Rochdale, Adam is the Solo Trombone of the Black Dyke Band, currently in his final year at the RNCM, being taught by Katy Jones, Carol Jarvis and Roger Cutts.

Adam began playing the trombone at the age of seven and developed his musicianship through the brass programme at Wardle Academy under the direction of Lee Rigg. Throughout his time at Wardle, he won "Best Soloist" awards at both the 2019 and 2022 European Youth Brass Band Championships. A past Principal Trombone of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (2019-2023), Adam was taught by past president of the BTS, Brett Baker, until beginning his studies at the RNCM.

While brass banding remains a central part of his musical life, Adam also enjoys a diverse performance portfolio. He has played with the Halle Orchestra, and regularly performs at weddings and functions across the North with a variety of groups, and has also enjoyed playing as a pit orchestra musician.

Adam is proud to be a Performing Artist for both Michael Rath Trombones and Denis Wick Products.
