The British Trombone Festival takes place 24 - 25 October 2026.

The festival promises to be a true celebration of our wonderful instrument. Packed full of performances, masterclasses, competition finals, participant's choir, group warm-ups, trade stands, and more. This is a chance to meet old friends and new, learn from the experts and most importantly - play together!
Confirmed artists and guests include: Christopher Augustine, Sophie Bright, British Military Music, Josh Cirtina, Concert Trombone Quartette, Matthew Gee, Rory Ingham's Trombone Assembly, Katy Jones, Apollo Premadasa, Rockschool, John Suchet, and Steve Thompson.
In addition to the main festival, on Saturday 24th we have planned a number of youth events where younger players will have the opportunity to learn from some of our visiting artists.
There will be massed ensembles, masterclasses, and interactive classes covering all styles of playing, from Early to Modern. Trade stands will be available for you to try all of the latest equipment.
Our competition finals will be held over the weekend; this is a great chance to showcase the finalists with you as audience members.
This festival brings us all together, no matter what age, ability or background and we welcome you all, BTS members or not.
Tickets are available for a Weekend Pass, Saturday only, and Sunday only. Weekend and Saturday Passes include admission to the Jazz Evening featuring Rory Ingham’s Trombone Assembly. Separate ticketing for the Saturday evening Jazz Session is also available (£18.00).
